Explorer vs FireFox

I've created a table with some data using pinEdit. The table looks great and theres not line wrapping and everything is on one neat line (or 3 lines because its 3 rows). I save the document. When i read that same document in internet explorer every cell is line wrapped and the table is very big as each word is on its own line !!??, if i view the same document again in firefox, its totally fine.

Is there a setting i should be using to make the 2 appear the same ? I have line wrapping=false in each cell and it makes no difference in ie. in using ie version 6, and the latest firefox.

many thanks

This is the entire code printed out from the view source. It does'nt seem formatted and comes out on one line.

Anything on this as yet, or is it dead in the water ?

Hi,

the problem is that each td has a width of 10px.
Therefore the text is wrapped.

Did you enter the width of the cells ?

No i didnt enter anything. I tried to drag the table wider on internet explorer but no joy. Should i be entering the cell widths manually then ? - please forgive my ignorance

Hi,

if you select the table and press the remove formatting button then all styles are removed.
So you can remove the cell width.

But it would be iteresting to know how this could occur.

Which version of pinEdit do you use (Ctrl+F10) ?

Hans-Peter

Thanks Han-Peter,
i checked each cell, and indeed it was set to 10px width, and line wrap =true. For some reason it looked fine in firefox though ? - maybe its a firefox issue here and iexplorer was actually showing me an accurate table. I removed the formatting 1 cell at a time, and its fine now. Incidently, another little difference in firefox is that i dont get the pinexx menu showing if i do a right click inside the table, but i DO if im using iexplorer. So i think im going to stick to iexplorer for the time being. My version is 5.0.0621.

Thanks Ej

Hi,

yes that might be.
Both browser might display html content different.

Could you please verify the right click problem with our life demo ?
We can not reproduce the problem.
