Dialog to open a local HTML file
|

Hi all. Great editor, but I have limited php skills. I've managed to modify enough .js files to get the "save local" icon in both the menu and toolbar, so that takes care of the saving issue I was having (don't want to use common doc folders, but rather local files).
I would like to be able to open HTML files from a local source too, and eliminate the opening of online shared docs path, or instead use the same dialog to show a local file path (my documents, or c:\, or sth to that effect).
Can anyone give me a hand with this? Does it need a separate component, or can it be done with pineditor's existing components?
Maybe I could make a separate "browse" button on the page, and then use another button to launch it in pinedit with the correct code.
Any help would be appreciated, but please remember I'm a newbie. If you can, tell me into which file I need to paste a certain line.
Cheers!

Hi,
unfortunately it is not possible to open a local file directly.
You have to make an upload first.
