Problems manipulating inserted local images?
Reply Quote
I'm using pinEdit desktop 7. I use the sample app and insert a local image. I get inconsistent results when I try to resize the image. Sometimes it works, sometimes the editor seems to freeze - the cursor stays stuck in the "resize" cursor until I move the cursor out of the sample app and click on another application.

Hello,

since we use web browser namespace in version 7 the behaviour is a little bit different.

If you select the image then you are in selection state.
If you now click at the resize icons you are in resize state and can resize the image.

It is just one state more.
Unfortunately we can not explain why Microsoft changed this behaviour.

Hans-Peter

I know it's a pain when Microsoft changes something you were depending on, but I'm not sure your explanation helps me. It sounds like this is a bug in the editor and you need to find some way to work with the new web browser behaviors. Otherwise it is going to be almost impossible for users to resize an image.

I am still not sure why the editor lets me resizes images sometimes but not other times. It seems totally random.

Hello,

if you be aware of the new behvaior it works reliable.
Select first, then click on one of the resize button, then move.

We will try to find a workaround.

Hans-Peter

Aha, now I understand the workaround. Thank you!

I look forward to a possible fix for this someday, but at least now I understand the workaround.
